About a week ago, Mike and I were driving in Redwood City and we came upon a Rite Aid. Now, if you are a child of the 80's and early 90's you will remember the drug store Thrifty's. Sadly, Thrifty's got bought out by Rite Aid. Most of the Rite Aids got ride of what Thrifty's was FAMOUS for...THEIR AWARD WINNING ICE CREAM!! As a kid, I remember going with my mom to Thrifty's and being so excited because I knew if I was a good girl, I could get some chocolate malted crunch ice cream.
About 15 years later I have searched the globe to find a Rite Aid that was nice enough to keep the old school ice cream. When Mike and I stepped into the Rite Aid in Redwood City, my eyes opened wide and I knew this was my day!!!
(I took my sister the next day who was equally excited. The pic is semi scary of me...2-a-days started for Mike a week ago and I am waking up at all hours of the night wondering where the heck he is)
