3.00.58.12 and counting....until Stanford vs. UCLA

Christmas comes early in the Sanford Family. This Friday night my husband and I will both go to bed very late, stare up at the ceiling, sleep off and on for a couple hours, wake up early in anticipation for FOOTBALL!!!! My husband will pace back and forth, and I will turn on our flat screen TV and tune it to College Game day. We will both pray together, drink some coffee, and I will ask him if he thinks we can win the game against UCLA? Being the eternal optimist, he will tell me if we can protect our QB he has full faith we can win. In my mind, I know that it might take a small miracle. Although, I have witnessed small miracles in football many times before.

Just in case you don't understand the life of a coaches family, and you are just a fan of the game; football games to us are not just football games. Its hours and hours of preparation. Its blood, sweat, and tears. Its building important relationships with staff and players which can be very exhausting at times. Its the sacrifices that wives make not knowing when their husband will be home. Its knowing God has a plan when we lose and when we win. We will praise Him in both circumstance. Its moving all over the country and still trying to remain sane (or so I have heard) You might laugh at how serious we take it, but to us its our ministry and its what we are called to. Its Pride. Love. Sacrifice. Few people find this in a lifetime.

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

We appreciate everyone who will wear Stanford Cardinal proudly. You will never know how much it means. Never know.
