This weekend is Stanford vs. Texas Christian University. Its a non-conference game, but TCU is really, really good! We really need to win this game, so we know that USC wasn't just a "one win wonder." I know the coaches have done a great job preparing the team and making sure their heads are still not in the clouds. We need this win!!

Game Reset: Stanford is coming off its victory over top-ranked USC last week that put the Cardinal in the national headlines ... Stanford (2-3, 1-3) will return on home on Saturday, October 13, to play its annual homecoming game against TCU (3-3) of the Mountain West Conference ... The Cardinal, of course, altered the national landscape of college football with its 24-23 win at the L.A. Coliseum in front of over 85,000 fans ... The Horned Frogs (3-3) saw their two-game winning streak come to an end on Saturday after they lost 27-24 at Wyoming ... TCU has been a post-season regular the past nine years as they have advanced to eight bowl games during this time, including last year's Pointsettia Bowl (37-7 win over N. Illinois) ... TCU will be only the second unranked team to face the Cardinal this season (San Jose State was the other) in six games ... Stanford will play three of its next four games on the road (at Arizona, Oregon State and Washington State).
Game Notes: The Cardinal and TCU will meet for the first time in series history on Saturday in Stanford's annual Homecoming Game ... Stanford will travel to Ft.Worth next season and play TCU on September 13, 2008 ... TCU, which has been to eight bowl games in the last nine seasons, is 3-3 in 2007 after last week's loss at Wyoming ... The Cardinal will be playing at Stanford Stadium for the fifth time in six games.
