Today is my brothers 16th Birthday!
I remember the day he was born, and I was wearing my purple poison soccer jersey, and my hair was in a headband and my bangs were sticking straight up. I was so excited to meet my new brother, and from the day I laid eyes on him, I have loved him with all of my heart. Sometimes, I feel like I am his mother. hahaha.
I have watched him grow from a sweet toddler who loved to play in our kitchen Tupperware drawer, to an elementary boy who would wear his cowboy boots on wrong and walk over to his best friends house every 10 min to see if he was home, to a Jr. high kid who was still so sweet to his mother and sisters (and of course his Dad), to a mature Sophomore in high school who is an incredible athlete!!
I have loved watching you play baseball, and will never forget when you won it all!! I am looking forward to watching you grow as a football player, because I know you are going to be great, because you already are great!!
Matt, its been a hard couple years, but as you sister I want you to know how much I love and adore you. You have taught me about perseverance, being tough, and trusting in the Lord even when its really, really hard to see his plan. God has GREAT things in store for you. I can't wait to see them all unfold.
